Campus Visits

Campus visits are the best way to find out if a college is a fit for your student. They allow the student and family to meet current students, staff and faculty, and tour the place they are considering calling "home" for the next four years.

Visiting Hiram

There are two main ways to visit Hiram:

  • An individual weekday visit (sign up)

  • A Saturday small group visit (sign up)

The Office of Admission also holds special events, like open houses or shadow days throughout the year.

Visit Tips

Wondering what sort of visit is right for your student? Here are some suggestions:

We are at the beginning of the college search process and are interested learning about the overall "feel" of the campus.

A Saturday visit will pair you with a small group and tour guide so you can see the campus and find out more about what life is like at Hiram College. Individual interviews are not available on Saturday visits.

We would like to meet a variety of representatives from around campus, including faculty, staff from Student Life and students themselves.

Our Open House is a great option for those who want to tour campus and meet staff, faculty and students from a range of departments at Hiram College. Our open houses also include a panel discussion for parents.

My student wants to learn more about a major or sport at Hiram College.

Schedule an individual weekday visit. We can plan a day tailored to your interests, including meeting coaches, faculty or students, attending a class, a campus tour and more.

My student knows what he or she wants to major in.

Our Shadow Days are a perfect option for students who have a good idea of what they want to study. We can pair your student with a current Hiram College student in that major, and he or she can spend the day shadowing the Hiram student - attending class, going to lunch, hanging out in the residence halls and more.
