Thinking About Grad School?

You can focus your liberal arts degree and increase your employment opportunities with a carefully chosen graduate or professional school program.  But grad school is expensive, and PhD or professional programs can be long and difficult.  So make your decision carefully.

Why go to grad school?

Grad school is not the place to go to avoid thinking about your future.  If you need time off, consider volunteering or working for a few years to learn more about yourself.

Grad school is right for you if you are motivated by one or more of the following reasons:

  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Career advancement or focus
  • Career change

Start as early as a year ahead to research and prepare.
